Hey there!

I want to start this update with an introduction since it’s been a while, and since there are so many new faces around here!

My name is Sydney, I am engaged to my best friend, Jacob, who I get to marry in 71 days!!! I’m a proud aunt, lover of natural light, Iced Coffee (especially Dunkin’), and all things vintage + farmhouse style. I am a Hoosier at heart, and most importantly, a child of the King. I started my photography business in February of 2018 as a high school senior when my parents gave me my very first DSLR camera as a graduation gift. I’ve photographed hundreds of clients, dozens of weddings, and too many incredible moments to count.

I don’t know about you, but this summer, and this year thus far has FLOWN by! I just wanted to share a few things to keep everyone up to date on the happenings at SJP...

Update No. 1

We're

REBRANDING!

We’ll still be Sydney Jeanne Photography LLC, but the branding will look different: a new logo, new branding colors, new branding fonts, and later this year, updated guides. A blog will also be added to the website to showcase more of my work with more details about the sessions and subjects I photograph. With my move to Naperville, I figured now is as good a time as any to do a little refresh on the aesthetic end of the business. The editing style and client experience will remain the same!

A sneak peek at the new look of SJP...

Update No. 2

With the exception of the folks who are ironing out the final details on their bookings, my calendar for the Ellettsville and Bloomington areas are officially closed.

This is a tough one to share as I have been SO incredibly blessed to work with more than 300 clients in this area in the last five years. Each client provided me with unique experiences, and my clients, especially my return clients, are going to missed so much. It’s been a true honor capturing so many seasons of your lives, and I pray that one day, if it’s in His plan for Jacob and I, that we can return to southern Indiana to continue serving all of you. It’s going to be a growth opportunity for me up here personally and professionally, and I pray that as it is promised in Isaiah 58:11, where God guides, He provides. As Jacob and I take trips back home, I’ll be sure to share if I have any openings for Indiana sessions, and again, I am always willing to travel back to capture those big days for you <3.

Update No. 3

Keeping the Faith

If you couldn’t tell, I am unapologetically a follower of Christ. I understand this isn’t for everyone, and I completely respect that. As I've done more work in my business, I’ve felt a clearer calling from the Father to share His Gospel as I capture such pivotal moments in folks’ lives. To be honest, I’m not entirely sure what my goal or my plan of action is in doing so, other than to share the Good News. But that’s where faith kicks in. It may be a weekly scripture thought through the blog, but it may branch into something different. Only God knows, and I trust Him alone.

Prayer is a part of my business plan, which has played a large role in my decision to rebrand. The old church-window inspired outline around the logo symbolizes the need for light in both photography and in the world. You can't have clarity, vibrancy, or life without light in an image, but also, here on earth, and in the Spirit.

"You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

Matthew 5:14-16 NIV

I am so excited for what the upcoming seasons of my life look like – marriage, relocating to a beautiful area, growing my business, and becoming more steadfast in my faith, and I cannot wait to share that with you all!

Thanks, as always, for following along, and for all the overwhelming support I’ve received in the last half decade, serving you amazing people. Here’s to the next chapter!

Much Love,
Sydney
